Water

• Represented one of the fastest growing and largest municipalities in Colorado for every phase of its water system development, from acquisition of rights to water court changes to defense of the water rights in Water Court.
• Represented the nation’s largest hydropower producer in the basin wide adjudication of its water rights, and in recovering costs from the Bureau of Reclamation in the Court of Federal Claims for contract over-charges.
• Served as lead counsel and principal negotiator in adjudicating and purchasing direct flow and storage water rights for a Colorado ski area operator.
• Effectively led a group challenging a change of water rights in the Burlington Ditch in Colorado at a four-week trial and on appeal before the Water Court and Colorado Supreme Court.
• Regularly represent developers, mining companies, municipalities and developers in acquisition and disposition of water storage projects.
